Happy Father's Day, Daddy!

You are the perfect Daddy for me. I love you so much. Thank you for always taking time to put me to sleep; I love to listen to you sing. I like playing peek-a-boo with you. And I like being tossed around up in the air. I am so glad that I am getting bigger so that I can play with you more. I hope you have a good day...I'll do my best to be a good girl on Sunday (and always).

Happy Father's Day to you Adam, Russel, and Jesse!!! You guys are great dads and we love you!

We leave for Colorado on Sunday and we are so excited!!! It will be great to be "home" for a bit. The change in scenery will be wonderful - trees and grass. We'll get to go shopping whenever we need to, run to the grocery store to pick up a needed item, rent a movie. Oh yeah, it is going to be great.

Then Thursday we'll head to Nebraska to see the whole Hamilton gang for a Family Reunion. It should be lots of fun! Sounds like a lot of folks are going to be able to come. Grandma Mary is super excited to see Shelby. Thanks to Joe & Diane for letting us stay at your house again!

It was a beautiful day today. A little warm and windy, but the sunshine was great and we enjoyed the day. We are so thankful for our sweet, little Shelby-girl! Thank you, Jesus!!!

We had a lot of fun with Shelby today and she got some great stuff! Thank you so much to all of you for the cards, money, presents, sweet birthday wishes and love. We love you!

Shelby decided that - in true Hamilton form - she prefers ice cream over cake.

This is Shelby's favorite person, aside from mommy and daddy...Shelby cried the other day when Vanessa left our house.

Swimming in the HOT weather

So...it was over 100 degrees here today. We stayed inside most of the day, but around 4 we went swimming and ...Shelby LOVED swimming! At first she was a little unsure, but after Vanessa toted her around the pool a bit she changed her mind and had a blast! We didn't have our cameras at the pool, but afterward I took these pictures. The inflatable deal worked great with the sun shade. I did put sunscreen on both of us and am glad to report that neither of us got sunburns! Since the pool is free and open 6 out of 7 days I have a feeling we'll be there a lot. Fun fun!

And check out her Nik's! We found some sweet sandals that work great for her chubby feet. Thanks for the swimsuit, Grandma ~ it works great!

G&G Klatt

We had a very nice visit from Shelby's great-grandparents on Friday and Saturday. They are traveling from South Texas to California and we are on their way! We never thought we'd have friends and relatives just passing through Sanderson, but it has been great! It was so nice to see them and catch up for a while. Shelby had a lot of fun with great-grandpa playing with her.

We love you guys! Thanks for coming to see us!!

A Great Trip!

We had a great time in San Antonio on Tuesday and Wednesday. It was a fast trip, but worth it. We left Sanderson just before 7 AM on Tuesday and made it to Matt & Jessica's by 11:30. We had lunch with Jessica and then headed to Shelby's doctor appointment. The doctor was super! And Shelby is doing well. We went shopping all afternoon and got home around 5:30. We went to dinner at a yummy restaurant called Rosarios in downtown San Antonio. After dinner Shelby was pretty beat, so we drove over to the Alamo for a quick look, then headed home. Shelby went to bed and we had a great time staying up talking. Wednesday morning we said our goodbyes and headed out to do some more shopping. We never did make it to the Riverwalk, but the doctor wants to see Shelby again in the Fall so hopefully we can do it then.

This is the guest room that Josh & I stayed in. Matt & Jessica's home is beautiful!!! We were spoiled and had so much fun!

Shelby loves Jessica!

Jessica was so kind to get a pack-n-play and lots of toys from a friend for Shelby to use while we were there. It was so wonderful! Shelby had a blast playing with Jessica. And their dog, Henry, was definitely an attraction for Shelby. What fun!

Next...Shelby's Great Grandpa and Grandmother Klatt should be here today or tomorrow! Yippee!

BIG Bear

Kim & Adam gave us this ridiculously BIG bear and it just so happens that Shelby really likes stuffed animals. So we got the BIG bear out of storage this past week and Shelby loves it! She squeals with delight every time she sees it. She likes to sit in the bears lap and just relax. It is so cute!! Here are some pictures.

Friday one of our friends celebrated his 30th birthday and we joined in the fun. Shelby wore this cute little dress and looked like a doll! Grandma Mary - please thank your friends for this dress again (the Gleason's, I think) - it is adorable!

We will be heading to San Antonio on Tuesday where we'll be able to see our friends Matt & Jessica and stay the night with them. Should be fun! We plan to also do the Riverwalk, go shopping!, and so much more!!! :) Can't wait!
