Ahhh, Colorado

What a wonderful trip!!! Shelby was a very good girl on the trip up to Colorado. We left at 12:45 AM and she slept for the first 6 hours; and the following 8 hours she was a jewel. Yesterday and today on the trip back she was very good again! The last 20 minutes today she had had enough. And when we got home we took her temperature and sure enough - a fever. Poor girl! She took a nap this afternoon, and she is in bed now. So pray she gets better soon!

Our week in Colorado was truly amazing. Every day we had a lot of fun and were blessed by our family and friends. Church on Sunday was wonderful. We did a lot (and I mean a LOT) of shopping. Shelby played with Anna every waking moment. We were with the Russel Griffin girls several times and Shelby had so much fun with all four of them!

Shelby typically says Abby all the time (cousin). And she says "Lu" for Luke a lot as well (a sweet boy here in Sanderson). We have lots of pictures on our fridge and in a little book that Shelby looks at quite often. She knows a lot of people and can point them out or even say their names. As soon as she met Anna in person she could not stop saying her name. Anna and Shelby just absolutely love each other. Shelby would repeat over and over "Anna! Anna!" but it kind of sounds like "Allah! Allah!" :) Even now that we are home, she keeps saying Anna. We can tell that she really misses all of her family in Colorado.

One funny thing that happened throughout the trip was that every time Shelby would see Anna's sippy cup she would start saying "Allah, Allah, Allah" until she found her and gave her cup to her. It was so sweet! And, since Anna loves to roll in blankets, Shelby thought that was very funny - she would call for her saying "Allah, Allah" and then laugh; then when Anna's head came out of the blanket Shelby would say "peek-a-boo!"

You may know, my Dad and brother, Jesse went to Israel for the month of January to take a class. They had a great time! The following week my Mom left for India on a trip with our church there in Colorado. The above picture is Shelby and me ready for church in our India outfits.

Shelby had a blast on the tire swing at my parent's house.

Also, my Dad is sick. So pray that the doctor will find out what is wrong and that he will get better soon. Thank you!
