Bath Time

Shelby is such a good girl! We are really enjoying her. She is eating well and taking great naps. Josh and I are doing our best to nap when she naps. Josh is such a great daddy!



Today we gave Shelby a bath - as you can see...she didn't like it very much. But as soon as we dried her off she was happy again and took a nice long nap with daddy so that I could go through a bunch of clothes. (Thank you Russel & Zoey and Kim & Adam forall the clothes - wow!)

It's a Girl!

We would like you to meet Shelby Elaine. She arrived at 1:04 am on 6/7/09, weighing in at 7lbs. 12oz. and measuring 20.5in long. Sharon did an amazing job handling 22 hours of labor. I don't know how she did it. Actually, I do know. It was the Lord that gave here the strength that you were praying for. Your prayers were heard and answered! Thank you so much for praying. Sharon and Shelby are both doing very well. Sharon is tired, but so happy and excited to hold her little girl. Shelby has a great appetite and loves being held tight. We are so blessed.

The cradle is finished!

We are so excited to tell you the cradle is finished!!! Josh did such a wonderful job!!! After three months of working on this piece of art we are so glad that it is ready to go. (The rod at the top of the tall end piece will have a canopy draping from it, once we pick the fabric and our seamstress (Mom) makes it.)
Thank you to Tom Height for letting Josh use his shop and tools ~ that was a huge blessing. And thank you Dad as well for letting Josh use your tools and garage.
We are ready for the baby to be born now!

Almost there...

Well, it is crazy to think that we will have a little one in our home soon! I am 39 weeks now and we are so excited to see if we are having a son or a daughter. I haven't got to the nesting phase, but hopefully will, as the house could use a good dusting. :)
Josh is putting the finish on the cradle so it will be ready in a couple of days ~ it is beautiful!!!!!!!
Hopefully next time I write it will be to introduce our baby! Or to show you the cradle.

Only 4 weeks until the due date!

Just four weeks until the baby is due!!!

Only 10 weeks left!

It is crazy that the time has gone by so fast. In around 10 weeks we will be welcoming this new little baby into the world. I have to say, I have immensely enjoyed (and am enjoying) feeling the baby move all around inside of me. What a miracle!!!
We have started a family pool to see what everyone thinks we are having. So far the votes are in at: 12 boy and 5 girl. The lightest weight guess is 2 lbs and the heaviest weight guess is 50 lbs (given by my niece Emily (7) and my nephew Nathan (5), respectively). :)

Ultrasound

Tuesday, January 20th we got to see our baby! He/she is doing very well. This is the full video of the ultrasound, which is around 25 minutes. Between 15:15 and 15:30 you can see the baby yawning and strectching. It is really cool!
Sharon is doing well and her belly is growing rapidly.
You will notice a watermark periodically. This is because we are too cheap to by the actual software to convert from the DVD. :)
