Some pictures of our life lately

Well, with doing homeschool with Shelby each day, having a sweet baby boy crawling all around, keeping Vivian busy, making meals (I seem to be in the kitchen a LOT) and just living life, I haven't been posting much lately.  So here are some pictures of us lately ~

 Jared is 10 months old.  Just as sweet as ever.  

He is crawling all over the place and climbing onto things...

If you are laying on the floor he will crawl over and lay his head on yours, as if to say, "I Love You!"  It is the most precious thing!

I love it when kids sit on their knees like this!  :)

Under the dining room chair

We have a fountain in our backyard and therefore a little pond as well.  The girls LOVE to play all around the pond.  Well, Shelby tripped on Vivian's foot and fell in the pond!  I missed the exact moment, but Shelby said she "jumped right out!"  It was cold water!

And here are the sweet kiddos rocking on their horses.  

Shelby lost her first tooth!

We have been so excited for the past few weeks as Shelby's first loose tooth started wiggling.  Today she was showing me how loose it was and I took a picture to send to her cousin, Abby.  

 Then, as Shelby was showing Vivian how loose it was, Vivian reached up and joking said she was going to grab it...but when she touched Shelby's tooth, it came out!  

Shelby said it didn't hurt.  We rinsed the blood out of her mouth and she is now having fun sticking her tongue through the hole.

The little white dot on the counter is her tooth.  :)   So fun!!

We've never introduced the toothfairy, so I guess we need to decide on that tonight.  ;) 

Happy Valentine's Day

Our girls enjoyed some frosting!  I mean...cupcakes!

Love those lips!  

And a Pinterest success ~ tracing shadows!  The girls had a great time and we did this for a whole morning, tracing toys and whatever else we could find.  Then we colored the shadows to match the original object.  It was great fun!

Sweet loving kids

Jared loves hanging out with Mommy!  It has been very sweet watching him go to Daddy from my hands.  He is such a precious boy and is growing so much!

Riding horses ~ Jared is getting really good at this!

Here's the snack makers!  We love the "almond bark" covered pretzels and we made a bunch for the Super Bowl.  I think we've all eaten enough that we can go without them for a while...onto another snack.  :)

Jared's crawling!

Jared is 9 months old and after a month or more of working on it...he's crawling!  So excited and proud of him.  :)

Jared is 9 months! ~ and other fun pictures ~

He's getting so close to crawling and to walking!  We are waiting to see which one he does first.  He gets around when he's on the ground, either by scooting or pushing backwards or rolling, but he doesn't get far.  We are waiting for him to get completely mobile.  Jared is just as sweet as ever!  At nine months he has four teeth, almost six.  The front two on top are so close to poking through - "any day now" we keep saying.  He likes to clap and he can wave.  He also does this funny eye blinking thing when he tastes a bad burp, or even when he's just being silly.  Here are his stats:
Height: 28.5 inches (52%)
Weight: 21 lb (71%)
Head Circumference: 46.7 cm (90%)

Jared likes to play with his sisters and he is very used to Shelby toting him all around.  Here's a few things the kiddos have been playing.

The girls were playing (beds behind the chairs) and Shelby got Jared all setup with toys on a tray.

Pretty sweet all playing the piano. 

The girls like to play "Bonuses" where Jared is baby Nathan and they cart him all around the house.  This time they had him in a box, which I think was their car.  So fun watching them use their imaginations!  

They love to dance when we put Pandora on.  This time they were posing with their super cool moves.

And just about every day they are "paitresses" as Vivian calls it.  They use movie cases as their "minions" as Vivian says, which is their menus.  They have a notepad and pen, then use their jacket as an apron.  Lately they have also been putting on their aprons they got for Christmas, which have their names, in addition to the jackets.  They do a great job taking our orders, but their selection is quite limited.  Hehe

Vivian had her 3 year check up and here are her stats:

Height: 3 ft 0.87 in (35%)

Weight: 33 lb (67%)

Dr. Milnes said she had a perfect check-up ~ she's normal and healthy!
