Crawling and Vivian's first bum lip

Here she goes!!  (She is still a bit slow, but crawling none-the-less!)  :)

And what naturally comes with mobility?  Bum lips!  This one wasn't bad at all, but the right part of her upper lip is a bit swollen.  She recovered nicely, then did it again the next day. But all is well that ends well and she keeps crawling.

Tent!

Admittedly, this is Shelby's first tent/fort experience!  The girls have had fun playing in their tent, as long as Mommy or Daddy is with them.

And did we mention that Vivian is crawling!?!?!  This has been so much fun (as Shelby never crawled).  Vivian does VERY well going from sitting to crawling and back to sitting, etc.  Video to follow...

Matchy-Matchy

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

Twirling

Sorry these are a little blurry, but we were trying to get some action shots.  Shelby loves a twirly dress, and this is a great one!  It also poofs out beautifully when she sits down.  Thanks "Glen Blob" and Mrs. Hinkle for the matching dresses for the girls!

If you flip through them fast enough you can almost see her twirling!  :)

Too small?

Shelby thought it would be fun to try on some 12 month pants that I had gotten out for Vivian.
I am amazed that they fit her!  Albeit, shorts and not pants.  :)

And don't let her "cheese" smile fool you - she has had a rough day, crying at the drop of a hat.  Hopefully she'll sleep good tonight and have a great day tomorrow!

Pictures from our Colorado fun

It was so nice to have the older cousins (Bonus kids) there.  Emily had fun holding Vivian.

Nathan is an awesome boy cousin!  So much fun!
I know the video is dark, but listen to Nathan; he is so cute and such a great little man.

A super-neat train museum that Josh and Adam took the kids to so that the ladies (Mom, Kim and me) could watch a girl movie, Joyful Noise.

A treat after the museum.

Top of Trail Ridge Road.

It was a little windy and chilly --- JUST what we were looking for!

Anna (2), Rizpah (3) and Shelby (3).  Last year Shelby was telling Anna, "No mam" for climbing on the windowsill and this year Shelby joined her!  We were hoping Shelby would learn some from Anna and she did!  :)

Happy 35th Wedding Anniversary to my parents!!  The card read, "Where are you going?"

Can you tell by the cake?  The Royal Gorge!  :)

Awesome rain meant puddles!

What else did we do?  More things than I can think of, but here are a few:
  • Lots of playing with the cousins.
  • We welcomed David Isaac Griffin on the 4th of July!  (Congratulations to Kelly, Jesse and Anna!!!)
  • We had a pig roast at Russel's with LOTS of family and friends. (It was delicious!!!)
  • Shopping, of course.
  • Shooting - my Dad took Josh and I to a neat indoor gun range.  (Thanks to Grandma for watching our girls!)
  • TCBY with almost all of us.
  • Time with Aunt Barb and Uncle Ron as well as the Jerry Griffin clan.
  • Lots of eating yummy food.
  • Dentist appointments.
  • Rocky Mountain National Park - a wonderful day there with cool weather and even some rain!
Needless to say, it was hard to come back home.
